Dr. Tania Huedo-Medina moved to Connecticut from Spain when she got her Ph.D. to begin researching at the University of Connecticut. She graduated with a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Murcia, in Murcia, Spain (2000). She then moved on to get her M.S. and Ph.D. in Biostatistics for Social and Health Sciences from the National University of Madrid, in Madrid, Spain (2006).

Dr. Huedo-Medina is now highly involved with the University of Connecticut as an Associate Professor in Biostatistics in the Allied Health Department, as well as being part of the college of Health, Agriculture and Natural Resources. She has joint appointments with the Institute for Collaboration on Health, Intervention, and Policy (InCHIP), the department of statistics and the department of Community Medicine and Health Care. In the health-related area Dr. Huedo-Medina has done extensive research on HIV, nutrition, exercise, obesity, the Mediterranean diet, Gluten-related disorders, anxiety, and depression. Her statistics-related research interests are in meta-analysis, multilevel analysis, mediation and moderation, biostatistics, and structural equation modeling.
