Research Interests

Sexual health promotion, HIV prevention, health disparities among Latino and Hispanic populations, nutrition and the Mediterranean Diet, drug and alcohol addictions, international public health.

Goals for the Future

Aviana hopes to complete her Ph.D. in the next few years and work in a career that allows her to help educate others around the world on health promotion and to work to form successful intervention and prevention efforts to lower the incidence of STI’s and HIV globally.
